Thank you for visiting my website-I hope you enjoyed exploring my paintings.
I am an artist based in East Staffordshire, and painting and drawing have been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
At around the age of twenty, I began working in oils, but when my children arrived I returned to watercolours-oil paint is far too messy with toddlers around!
During this period, and throughout my working life as a biology lecturer, I produced relatively little artwork. However, when I embarked on a second career in garden design, my interest in creating two dimensional art was rekindled, and painting once more became an important part of my life.
My daughter introduced me to acrylic paints while she was at art college, and they have been my preferred medium ever since. More recently, I have returned to working in oils, although I also enjoy exploring a range of other mediums.
I have exhibited locally in Staffordshire and Derbyshire and my work has led to several sales and commissions.
